Hello & welcome to you Coniff3!
How are you doing today? I hope that you are doing well. My name is Beth & I am currently a Suboxone patient and one of the Moderators of the forum. I see that you have already met Barbara & I am sure that Dee will be along to welcome you as soon as she sees that you are here!
As I mentioned, I am currently on Suboxone. I have been taking it for a bit longer than a year & a half. Are you also on Suboxone or Methadone? Or thinking of starting either of these medications? Are you in recovery yourself or trying to get there? I am glad that you have come & decided to become a member here. What is it that brought you to us? Are you struggling with your recovery or are you here because of a loved one dealing with this horrible disease of addiction? I would really like to hear what is going on in your situation & how you are handling it. I can tell you personally that I fully believe that Suboxone & God are the only reason that I am still here today. I had tried over & over again to quit using opiates on my own, always to fail once again. I was so tired of the entire ordeal of finding them, trying to find a way to pay for them, using them (not even to feel good anymore, but just to not be sick) and then starting the entire cycle all over yet again! I was to the point of just giving up. I felt hopeless as nothing that I ever tried worked. The Suboxone for me was a last ditch effort & thank God that this did work for me, as well as for so many others. I was amazed. Upon taking my very first dosage, I felt better within about 15 minutes. And I have been off of all opiates since that time. I am not even close to being the person that I was then to the person that I am today. Thank you God & Suboxone! I really hated that person, but was stuck in the vicious cycle that I didn't know how to escape. The Suboxone gave me the chance to live opiate free & to change my life around. I am fortunate enough to still be here with my family rather than being dead or in jail, as those were the only options that I had left if I decided to continue to use. I really encourage you to take a look around & see how many lives have been saved by either the Suboxone or the Methadone. There is a wealth of information here on the forum as well as on the websites where you can find the links directly under my name. There is one for the Suboxone and one for the Methadone. I would also like to let you know that the sites are completely accurate (HON certified) with the most up to date accurate information available on these such medications. And if you need to speak to someone right away, there are also phone numbers below my name as well that are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays & leap years & anytime that you need someone. If you cannot afford the call, please email to let him know when you will be available, as well as your phone number, and he WILL call you back at your request.
Again, welcome to the forum Coniff3 & I look forward to getting to know you better! Hope to hear from you soon as to how your situation is going & if there is any way that we could possibly help you. Even by just getting it off of your shoulders alone. It's a burden that can weigh you down to the ground, but as Barbara told me when I was just joining "a problem talked about is a problem half solved!" She is completely right! I hope that you will share where you are in your recovery or if your thinking of taking that step, we WILL be here for you, full of love, support & encouragement. Nothing that you say will be judged or criticized, as we have all been in these very same shoes. We do NOT tolerate any negativity nor anything hurtful towards any of our members. And because of that, there have been several friendships and bonds made here that you just don't find anywhere. I have found my very best friends here & encourage you to open up & share with us, as I believe that you can get so much out of this precious forum, if you really want it. Again, I look forward to hearing more about you & welcome home Coniff3!
Yours in Recovery,

Hello Coniff and welcome to the forum.
I apologize for not being here to welcome you sooner but I have had the hardest time with my Internet this week. I see that you have already been welcomed by many. Where else would you have received such a reception before posting?
You are most welcome here. If there is anything that we can do for you or if you have any questions that we may be able to help you with please don't hesitate to let us know. If you need to speak to someone right away our phone number is posted at the bottom of this post. I'd like to encourage you to post as often as you can. The more involved you become in your recovery the better your chances are for a successful recovery.
I am looking forward to talking with you
Yours in Recovery,
